What a Bookkeeper does:
The tasks adopted by the Bookkeeper can vary, depending on the needs of your particular company.
For instance, on the lighter side, where you or your office staff may attend to most day-to-day financial tasks, a Bookkeeper may focus on transaction categorization, account reconciliation, and financial reports.
Or you may ask the Bookkeeper to take on more involved tasks, such as managing invoices, bills, payroll, or inventory, depending on the particular needs of your business.
In addition, a Bookkeeper’s expertise within the QuickBooks accounting software can also be a tremendous asset, allowing us to offer personalized system support to you and your staff!
What a Bookkeeper does not do:
A Bookkeeper, while highly trained, is not a Certified Public Accountant.
So, while Bookkeepers often work with and under the direction of a CPA, we do not offer financial advice, tax advice, or interpret the meaning of your business’s reports.
Nor do we make any decisions regarding the allocating and spending of business funds. We leave that to you, the Business Owner, to decide!

- Your current QuickBooks Online information, if you’re already set up, OR…
- Your legal business information, if needing to set up a new QuickBooks account

- Your Bookkeeping challenges, or what you’re hoping we can take over for you
- Basic information about your company, it’s size, and your typical transaction load, so we can offer an accurate bid for the services you require
What will Sure Bee Bookkeeping need from a Client?
During the initial setup period, we will need pertinent information about your business. This will permit us to open or connect to your QuickBooks account, and better understand your Business.
Then, going forward, we will need your Business to regularly provide us with the financial documentation required to keep the records current. This may include invoices, bills, receipts, statements, cash register reports, deposit records, time cards, etc. Which documents will depend on which aspects of your bookkeeping we will be attending to for you.
Providing these documents can be as simple as forwarding an email, or scanning to a drive folder, but the most important thing will be consistency!
How often will I hear from Sure Bee Bookkeeping?
We will likely schedule a regular check-in time – typically monthly – to verify the accuracy of your records, address any questions, and review reports. These meetings can be brief if all is in order. Or if needed, we may take more time to address your concerns, or revisit recording processes. We can also use this time to provide any needed training in the QuickBooks program.
Of course, our communications will not be limited to only these monthly chats! Our clients are always welcome to contact us, whenever they have need.
How much will Sure Bee Bookkeeping cost?
The cost for Bookkeeping services is dependent on many different things. Among others, the prime factors will be,
- the size of your company,
- the amount of transactions you regularly enact, and
- the scope of the bookkeeping tasks you need us to take on for you.
While no two companies are exactly the same, we offer a selection of Service Packages as starting places. When we meet, we can then customize your plan to suit your business’s needs!
